Rear Wheel Bearing Replacement

Since I got the car its had vibration at higher speeds.  While changing the rear brakes found the reason why.  Rear wheel bearings were worn out.  Unfortunately, it’s not a simple case of going to the local parts place getting new bearings in the UK.  So had to complete the rear brakes and wait for the bearing to arrive from the US.  Had to remove the axles again to replace the bearing, would have been easier to do it in one go.  No matter all done now 🙂

Our press isn’t tall enough to remove the bearing. Tried to drill/hammer them off.  Turned out to be easier to cut them off.

Installing the new bearing was pretty quick with the hydraulic press.

See the difference from old to new!

Bearing been pressed in.
