Patrick very kindly bought some new dampers for the car. Turns out it was a very necessary change. The front dampers were completely gone, next to no rebound. One of them had leaked out all its fluid. The rears were better but still needed changing.
Overall a fairly easy job, no need to remove springs, pretty much unbolt bolt. The new rubbers were coated in WD40, its supposed to help keep the rubber fresh.
The car is so much more stable now. When going over bumps it doesn’t feel like the car bounces sideways anymore. Overall its huge improvement to the handling of the car.
